My commute is 6 or 7 km, depending on route, each way. I havent noticed any degrade in range obviously...........

When I bought my ED, I asked about these being available in Canada. They said not a chance in hell..............

Years ago, Tiff did a great demo on ESP, which I have shown to people many times over the years: I dont think the ESP in our Smarts is actually that good. I found that Porsche and Audi have much better ESP systems, with Porsche being the least unobtrusive and Audi being the more safety orientated. I love my Smart ED alot, but I really wish it was more like an Audi or Porsche in the winter...........

I like the Trek badge............

This is where they missed the boat.....heated steering wheel.....

I'm going to have a big problem with number 3 this year...........

Like all Smarts, it looks lovely........

Nope, not disabled, just pushed hard in at the mini christmas tree. Traction control is awesome, but its not perfect. On my S8, I could go at 100kmh and push hard in, and I'd get some wheel spin. I think it was because I was running only 19 inch wheels on that car. So yeah, traction control awesome. Not perfect.............

All the ED needs is a bit of dampness. My tires have only 500km on them. Get them abit damp and they spin easily...............

Laid down 2 little skinny tire marks at Robertson and Moodie proving that even the slowest car on the road can lay down rubber..........

I would just order one the way you want it. I think its a North American thing to just buy whats on the lot. If I am getting a new car it should be my way or the highway. When I went in they told me 12 weeks, but they did find one in the specs I wanted already on the boat, so it was reserved and it only took 4 or 5 weeks...........

The great thing is that the old battery will do nicely in a home solar setup............

I went to Hunt Club to get mine. You can get all the options you want but you have to wait for it to be made and shipped there. It takes 12 weeks usually............

I have the paddle shifters, and use them everytime I drive. I prefer to drive like a hooligan, than to hypermile though. Its a lot of fun, and its costs nothing. My last car was an S8. Flooring it was a felony and expensive. This is just cheap and fun. Its not fast by any stretch, but its still fun and thats what counts............

I put my 6'10" friend in it. He fit..........

I participated in a roundtable on GHG for the IPCC. Its good for people to change their habits, but there are always 3 sides to every story. People just focus on 2 of them. Thats the big problem............

I have always driven fast cars, but with the escalating horsepower in cars today. I was looking for something that I could drive with aggression that wouldnt get me a speeding ticket. I also wanted something electric that was small, and didnt have too much electronic garbage in it. I also liked that Smarts are not so common, and having something different is always cool. Now I can step on the gas, and it isnt a felony. Yay!!!! I also think Smart is a nice big FU to consumerism, at least to me it is. It isnt trying to impress someone with a label. I like that, just a pure car to drive...........

Picked up an ED yesterday. Had to wait along time for delivery, but it was well worth it. So far most of my drives have been showing people what Smart and electric cars are. For any guitar players, I am the mod at the GuitarsCanada forum..........

You'd be surprised. Charging stations are all over. They even have one just outside Algonquin Park now...........
