  1. Willys, I bought a NOCO Genius GB40 Boost Plus jump pack about 5 years ago. I could keep my 450 plugged in at home so there was no problem starting her in the morning to get to work. Once there, there were no plug-ins and after sitting in the -25+ cold for the day, it was hopeless to start. When required, the NOCO would start her on the first cycle after about 30 seconds. One week I had to use it every day and never had to recharge it. Since then, I've saved many motorists in parking lots with it. The photo below is from Canadian Tire. They sell it for $174.95. I also use it to power USB devices. Definitely money well spent.
  2. When this happened on my 450, it was the U-Joint. Some spray lube and some minor heat from a hair dryer (not a heat gun) helped the lube soak in. Steering was slick as butter after that thanks to Uncle Glenn
  3. Correct.......but the original post I saw was from Feb. 7th so I'm assuming the 1 from 5 days ago was a repost.
  4. Looks like the original ad was posted February 7, 2020
  5. Thanks for posting this Willys. It's amazing what can be accomplished with endless Cash, Resources & Manpower. Looks like this is the only You Tube Post on this so far.

  7. Have any of you disassembled the Block Heater Cord? Mine is starting to experience stress where the wiring enters the plug. I'm assuming it comes apart since it has a plastic hex nut threaded into the plug body that is designed to accept a wrench. Seems pretty simple except I didn't know what to expect inside. Didn't want to open it up only to find it doesn't go back together without excessive grief.
  8. Hong Pings is always one of the favorites. I only ordered 1 dish and had enuff leftovers for lunch and diner today
  9. Uncle Glenn installed my Polar Pad over 5 years ago. He had them on hand. I don't have a garage, so anything below -10, I plugged it in for 2 hours and even when it went down to -20 or lower it started right up after 1 cycle of the glow plugs just like it was July. BUT.........after sitting outside all day at work, it struggled to start even after 4 cycles of the glow plugs. As Willys said; "Canadian Tire sells them". They are $125 there. From what I know; Canadian Tire installs pretty much all automotive products that they sell. I'd check that option out.

  11. That's why I had the "Smart Whisper" mount my Snow's last weekend. It was also great to catch up with you Glenn over breakfast.
  12. I paid $20 for a set of 4 from MB here in London. They ordered them from Vancouver and I had them the next day. Somehow, the bag had 1 extra. You are welcome to it but it still leaves you 1 short.
  13. I used this product for 5 years and found it worked very well. If you are not familiar with this product; there are 2 different versions. Both are basically the same except the white bottle has Anti-Gel and Moisture inhibitors for winter use.

  18. UPDATE: "Sally" hitched a free ride to Uncle Glenn's on the weekend to get her brakes fixed up along with any other nastiness that he might find.
  19. Smart has been parked in my driveway for quite a while. Always starting her and buzzing back and forth in the driveway to keep things moving. Well..........last week, she wouldn't move. Rear Brakes locked up and would not "pop" loose with forward and reverse on the gas. Uncle Glenn came to the rescue yesterday with the "Land Cruiser". with me in the Smart and Glenn finessing A tow strap between the 2 didn't help. So Glenn jumped on the juice and dragged her about 20 feet up my driveway with the rears skidding the entire way. A very gentle shift into reverse popped them loose. Definitely a bonus to live only 5 minutes away from the "Smart Whisperer's" Den.
  20. Unless you are completely out of options...........you could always pick up a rebuild from Uncle Glenn when you and Nigel join us for our May Dinner meet next Tuesday.
