  1. Would you be interested in borrowing my spare tire holder (rear bumper mounted) for the Northern trip? It would conflict with the "Box".
  2. Have a look here to start: http://www.clubsmartcar.ca/forums/viewtopi...p=130546#130546
  3. Just a reminder to the new folks to vote in the best CsC poll
  4. I can point out a couple of great driving roads on your way down, or back. Let's see, where's my atlas....
  5. It appears to be mostly hypothetical, unless the black magic hasn't leaked out of yours.
  6. Steven, I'd call the cops. If it really is a scam, you will probably save somebody else $10 who really can't afford to give it away. If it is legit, then a visit from the constabulary should get their attention to clean up Susan's act.Still sounds fishy to me.
  7. So guess who didn't show? Too tired from Worming I guess.
  8. Search the forums for 'trailer' you should find lots of discussion, from hitches to camper trailers
  9. Coffee and a pastry Sunday at 1PM as per Cait. Now we know what Cait is doing all summer Cait, you will have to get to southbound Crowchild Trail. 16Ave N, or Memorial Dr, both work. Exit on 33Ave SW, eastbound, first right (southbound), straight at the 4way stop. Starbuck's is 50m further south. Easiest parking is in the Safeway lot in behind.
  10. Coffee at Starbucks, Garrison Woods? When?
  11. Looking to import that 15 year old Alphonso De Credenza classic motorcar? Better do it fast. http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/15yearrule.htm Looks like we can say goodbye to our Roadsters, Dang!
  12. Last I heard, if you apply in person at a 'real' passport office, the backlog has cleared, but by mail, it's still Looooonnnnggg.
  13. For us, the biggest hassle was getting the photos just right. No smiling, no glasses, no glare, ad nauseum. Our passports were done in 2 weeks, but that was a year ago, before the USA requirements hit the fan.<rant>It's really stupid to have these things only good for 5 years, and then having to go through the same bureaucrab* process to get a new one. </rant>*bureaucrabs= officials that can only make progress by sideways motion. Esp. Government, Banks, Insurance
  14. Race City 8-5 Saturday and Sunday, so I'm out.Sorry.
  15. Pretty common practice, although sometimes they will eat at least part of the cost as 'Good Will'.
  16. for Self-Promotion even if s_mack says it's okay. Can we take the chatter to Chatter? Der Moderater
  17. Then drive it backwards!
  18. Are you going to run it in the Bogus Basin Hillclimb? Should be coming up soon.
  19. We can do a coffee thing after I get back into town. Can't be Sunday, because I'm out at the race track at a driver instructor school.Watch out for Crowchild Trail, though. You can actually go North, South, East, and West on it!! Which quadrant is the acreage in?
  20. So, SCG (Shopping Cart Girl), when are you going to assume the role of CsC Calgary smeet coordinator, for the summer?
  21. An interesting read from Stats Canada here. Cars up, trucks upper.
  22. Riegel Tuning in the SE
  23. I've asked a service shop here in Calgary, that services older Mercedes, if they would service smarts. They indicated they would. so maybe I'll get them to do my next A service and see what happens. You could explore that route in Edmonton.
  24. We did indeed meet the trailer. It's quiet and shy, not saying much. Surprisingly roomy for 2 people, and looks quite versatile. 6 Smarts, and a trailer was drawing a lot of gawkers.
  25. I hope Smart Canada makes a noise about that. 800 indeed.
