  1. I think mine is on "C", but my car is not a good one to judge against. It is also remapped and a Van Akins box. My little smoker, lol.
  2. I agree with MightyMouseTech, out little sewing machines are almost always under boost. And im not sure on these little guys, but the turbo that was on my Dodge Colt would spin up to 200000 R.P.M's. No not a typo two hundred thousand revolutions per minute at peak boost pressures. Now i would think that if anyone would have turbo issues i thought it would be me. Running stacked and aftermarket exhaust always takes its toll, but knock on wood 60000KM and still hanging in there.
  3. I know im alot late posting, but there is a show and shine at Harry's Auto in Stony Plain this Saturday.
  4. I agree with Fasteddy and the valve springs. Engine was hot then springs get over worked. i would pull the valve cover off for inspection of upper valvetrain.
  5. The only thing that i can see that might not work is the width of the track on the inside edges.
  6. All windows exept for the windshield (of course) and the side windows can be blacked out if there is a mirror on each side of the car. There must be 2 unobstructed rearward facing mirrors. At least thats he way it is in Alberta Canada.
  7. Sorry just answered my own question after taking a second look at the pics. I wonder how fast the holes in the crash bar will deform with the weight of your spare tire bouncing up and down on them. They are only spft aluminum you know, and meant fot a straight pull. Not for lateral tension. Just my $.02.
  8. Just curious, are the sides of the mount held by the threaded hols in the crash bar?
  9. I also think that the wear has something to do with how hard you drive. My winters have the regular adnormal wear, but my summers are even (i corner harder in the summer). And as far as the jack stands on the Dion tube, thats where i left Smarties on the hoists here where i work.
  10. They are just a standard mini ato fuse that many of the north american cars are using. Any parts store will have them.
  11. I'd like to say a big AMEN to all the "SMART" trailer people (lol couldn't resist the smart crack)
  12. IMHO the hitch in that picture is garbage. It is using the threaded holes through the crash bar. These holes are only for a straight pull, not for any weight to be hanging down on it. You can find pictures of the proper hitches on www.smartcaruniverse.com
  13. They claim that it will add up to 20% more horsepower depending on when setting its on. And it will NOT change the top speed or get rid of the speed limiter. All it does it change the signals to the injectors. I.E. keeps the injector open longer to add more fuel. I know cause ive installed half a dozen of these on different Smarts on different power levels. I also think it is worth the investment and run one on my "GOT SMOKE" (car's name).
  14. I've installed several drain plugs in oil pans. First i start with the oil pan on the bench and weld in a drain bung, then just swap the oil pans
