  1. Apologies if this has already been discovered...but here it is. http://youtube.com/watch?v=A6BtUmekT28 Hmmm...I've never done a link before. Well, anyway...that's the address. Hope it works.
  2. Wow...I can't be the only one in this part of the country! There were plenty of people at the tour! Where's everyone? Well...some of you may remember my story of the invitational drive here in Kansas City...when a reporter & his photographer followed me around for a story they were doing for...(drum roll)...Playboy Germany. Well, guess what I got in the mail yesterday?? An envelope from Germany...with a Playboy January edition inside. And guess what? There I am...mouth open in glee...in the test drive!! Of course, I'm reduced to just looking at the pictures (LOL!) since I can't read German. It's so cool, because I know the story is about me...german-german-german-Anita-german-german. HAHA!! Anyway...just thought I'd give you an update. It sounded so "yeah, right" at the time!
  3. Congrats Regina!! Yippee...finally!!! I'm hoping to get my new baby next month. Oooo...just TRY to wipe the smile off her face...yeah...anybody...just TRY!!!Enjoy...and make sure you tell us ALL about it!! Can't wait to hear.
  4. Not working for me either. I think they may just have an unusual amount of traffic...or are updating or something. This IS the week, y'know.
  5. I searched first, and didn't find anything on this. As an option to painting my panels, I've thought about painting the tridion & the other ''black" parts of my new 451. Someone mentioned that the cell is powdercoated, so it may not paint very well? So, I thought I'd go to the professionals...and as you guys! What's the opinion 'round here? Thanks!!
  6. Well, I thought so, but thanks for the confirmation! (Oooo...don't say 'confirmation' to us Americans!!) LOL!
  7. Harleyduo: My insurance agent also needed a VIN...so I just went onto the thread here that Mike T. has, where he lists VIN's for the USA cars. I just wrote one down, and gave that one to her. She got me a quote in a couple days. I think any VIN will do, as long as it's a USA 451. Try that.
  8. I apologize if this has been addressed...but what would happen if one would put the same size tires on front and back?
  9. Thanks so much folks! I'm still kinda new at this 'forum' thing, and I'd struggle with searching. So, I'm assuming that if you have the right wheel, that the tires CAN be the same size. That's what I'm getting out of the other thread. Thanks again. Sorry to duplicate.
  10. Thanks folks! I thought it was cool, to see how they are made. Yes...I'm getting quite anxious myself! Sheesh...it's been 9 months already! Could-a had a baby in this time. (er...did I really just SAY that??) Well, you know what I mean.
  11. Thanks!! Yes...I've already had a little fun with it at my holiday gatherings. "I'm an international star!" LOL!! My hubby said I should take a copy of the article & keep it in the car; that way, if I get stopped...I can just say, "Hey, don't you know who I am??" Oh, yes...great fun will be had, I can assure you. I just can't get over it...I mean, really. What are the odds?? All of the tour cities...all of the people...all of the possible magazines in Europe wanting to know how us Americans are receiving the car...and there I am. I'm still in shock. But I have a smile on my face!! I can't help but think this will be an everlasting story in the family. My grandchildren will know about this one! Too funny.German men? Don't they ALL just get it for the articles?? (wink-wink)
  12. Yes, I'm trying to think of someone to translate...but you know what? I think I posted this in the wrong area. I just noticed that this is for "regional events." Whoops...sorry. Moderators...please accept my apologies. You may delete or move at your discretion.
  13. Yes...KC as in Kansas City. USA Sorry...I forgot what forum I was in! I'll go back to the USA forum.
  14. (insert pouty-lip here)Man!!! Now that's just cruel. I've had mine on reservation since 4/4/07...and probably won't get delivery until March or April 2008. Anyone else want to rub it in, how FAST they are getting THEIR baby cars??? (LOL!!)Anita
  15. Wow...yeah, he DOES really rip it! But I have to commend you, Dan, on YOUR comment! It was logical & fair. Something your average comment-leaver knows nothing about!I agree Gortok...I figured out almost instantly in my first test drive that manual was the ONLY way to go! I think if one has experience with manual transmissions, it's just a natural inclination to drive it that way. Especially when it's in auto & it goes, "MMMMM....pause...MMMMM...pause...MMMM..." (Ok...really...you have to just BE here to HEAR my sound effects! LOL!!) Anita
  16. I agree wholeheartedly with LorbeerTLC...from start (thanks for all your hard work!!) to finish (thanks, aphoenix!!)
  17. I second SCHMART'S post...Safety & God speed to all our troups & families.
  18. Congrats TexSmart! Yep...it's a fun time!! Like my hubby used to say when we had a garden: Harvest time is a time of joy!Anita
  19. Hey Roy...that's exactly what I did! Ordered a white/black, and am getting quotes on painting the panels. Not brilliant orange, but orange creamsicle...compliments of Roadsofa in Blackie, Alberta. You can see a pic of that smart on the introduction page. I just fell in love with it, and have to have it. I really wish they were offering more colors to the US, but I guess we have to start somewhere, right? Uh-oh...that's probably off topic. Oops...sorry!!Anita
  20. Gee- after receiving news like that, I'd wonder if the name on the above dealer was a typo...OK...I'm not blonde...just late to the party!! Oh my God...how FUNNY!!!!
  21. I don't know why, but I wouldn't worry just yet. I think that once they get all the dealers set up, and after the 1st of the year, we'll be hearing lots more. I just think they are all-consumed right now in getting everything running like it should for the 2008 launch in the US. Now, mind you...I have NO insider info. This is just all my opinion. Now. That being said, would I like more info? H-E-double toothpicks YES!!! I'd scrimp & scramble for info!! I just thought of a good parallel...in MY mind at least. When Shania Twain first came out...she was all over the radio, but no concerts. It was well over a year after her first album came out before she went on tour. And boy...was THAT ever a successful tour. Now, I'm not saying that smartusa is intentionally holding info back from us for marketing strategies. But I think they are 1.-consumed with making sure the car comes out right; and 2.-letting the car speak for itself until it's officially HERE...2008. Just my humble opinion. (I know there are acronyms for 1/2 the stuff I say...I just HATE acronyms!) :-)
  22. That's EXACTLY right, Gary!! All these months, I was going for the Pure with A/C & radio. Just so I could have my crank windows. I just hate all the electronic gadgets...they always go wrong somehow!! I'm just not a gadget girl. LOL!! Anyhow, when I saw that I couldn't get the pods on the Pure...I almost panicked! So, I went back & forth in the configuration page...experimenting. And I figured that I could live with electric windows, but I could NOT live without those pods! They made the dash 'vanilla'...I HAD to have the pods...that's what makes it so distictive. But, I did make one change in the Passion's accessories: deleted the heated seats. With a caboose like mine, ya don't need one of those!! Anita
  23. Nope...I just configured a few minutes ago. I was going with yellow/black for months now. But we painted our house this fall...yellow. And it is SO yellow...I mean, like French's mustard!! (Not intentional!!) So, I'm al yellowed-out. I saw Roadsofa's creamsicle & black smart, and that's all she wrote. I fell in love...so I configured white/black, and am in the process of getting painting prices. Ahhhh...just feels good to have configured!!Time for a cocktail...in celebration.Anita
  24. OK...I'm confirmed. It's funny...all along I was just adamant that I was getting a Pure...for the simple fact that I DID NOT want electric windows. But...when I went to configure, I really-really wanted those googly-eye instruments. And guess what?? You guessed...you can only get those on the Passion. So, fine...I relented. I gave up my crank windows for the googly-eyes! Confirmed:Passion; white/black cell (soon to be painted orange creamsicle. Compliments of Roadsofa)exra instrumentsPrice: 13,710So...now I just have to wait...again. No...still. But I'm SOOOO much closer now. Anita
  25. I feel like Steve Martin in "The Jerk"...THE NEW PHONE BOOK'S HERE...THE NEW PHONE BOOK'S HERE!!!!Got my email this afternoon...going in in a few to configure!! Awesome...I'm so excited. (Do the Snoopy Dance!!!)AnitaPS...Oh, thanks aphoenix...you're the best.
