  2. When ordering the heated seats you would always get both seat with heaters correct? If it is just the driver's seat it is likely an aftermarket upgrade, yes?
  3. The oil change interval is around 8k on the CDI. I would just follow the computer service interval and wait to change the oil when it tells you to do so. Synthetic oil does not need to be changed every 5k, not really even every 10k. Oil changes around the 8k mark are not going to cause any harm. If you have the money to change your oil twice as often as you need to by all means knock yourself out, if it makes you feel better.2.5 to 2.7 L of oil, no more than 2.7L.

  5. The whole point of the diesel motorcycle is for extreme ranges in uninhabited regions. Ranges you are not going to get from a motorcycle only getting 50 or 60 MPG.

  8. Duck, If you are willing to do extra leg work you could contact the Ontario Insurance Ombudsman with your insurance problem. They may be able to help. Insurance Ombudsman of Ontario
  9. There are also the W, Y and Z rated tires as well for those driving between 240 kph - 300+ kph. Or for those that need tires sticky enough to climb walls and the like.
  10. The "T", "V", "R" are speed ratings for the tires. All three are rated well above the top speed of the smart. Ideally you would match the OEM ratings. I expect the slightly higher "T" rating is to compensate for the narrow front tires, higher rated speed equates to a stickier tire but they wear out sooner. See the below link for rating details. tire ratings
  11. Duck,I am not sure if they are available in Canada but Hankook makes a Ventus Prime K105 that comes in both sizes you need. Hankook also has the Ventus V4(front) and Ventus R-S2(rear), slightly different tread patterns though.*I am in no way affiliated with the Hankook tire corporation*
  12. The intercooler scoop, is a high breakage item in areas with deep snow. Some owners have theirs removed before winter and re-installed in the spring. I am not sure how bad of a job it is to replace but the car will perform much better in warm weather with it.
  13. For the last month or so dino diesel has been between 75.9 and 79.9 in Seaforth. For the wealthier Listowel Petro-Can has it for sale at 93.9 as of late last week, I just shook my head and drove to Seaforth to fuel up.
  14. Are spacers needed to fit these to the 450?
  15. A little farrowing for better aerodynamics and I can only imagine the FE you could get from that little number.
  16. Who is likely to have one of the first cars to be licensed in Ontario? Curious as to what theirs says.

  18. SMRT should be what is on the form. The car is made by smart not M-B, just like a Lexus would not be a Toyota, a Bugatti would not be listed as a VW. Not really sure clerically if it will matter much, insurance goes by the VIN number to establish make and model, etc.
  19. Sounds like your beef should be more with M-B and yourself by agreeing to have M-B service your car at $110 per hour. An independent mechanic could have done the work for much less, maybe even half.
  20. I'm a little more partial to the look of the ForFour myself. With a ForFour replacement on the way, how long before there is another smart Roadster?
  21. Fairly standard for no purchase entries to make the person jump through a few hoops to enter.
  22. When you come to a complete stop the brakes remain on for a second to allow you time to move your foot from the brake to accelerator, so the car will not roll backwards down hills, holds the car on the hills.
