  1. Well we put our first fill in the car the other night but it was after the dealer tank so we'll see how it works out on the second tank.Anyways we got 425km out of 28L and 90% of that was on the highway at 110+ so I can't see that being the most efficient speed to drive.. the rpm was at about 3-3.5 most of the time. It worked out to 6.5l/100km which I know we can do better on after the engine is broken in.
  2. That sounds right to me. Though for me I would have to change from Manual mode to Drive to Neutral and then back again... I would love to just disable this "feature".
  3. Very cool Trish. Have you had any issues so far?
  4. Thanks for the note. Andre was our dealer as well and he was great to work with. He even filled out our Eco-rebate forms for us!
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it illegal to put your car in neutral while in traffic? I was told that by my driving instructor 15+ years ago and just thought it was true. Also is there a way to disable the hill assist feature in this car?
  6. We were told that our A service was going to be 190 including tax and fees. I thought that was a little high so I might see if there are any other smart specialists in town to go to or if I'm best off just using the MB dealership. If any one knows Victoria smart mechanics let me know.
  7. Here's a Pic of Sally. We got our first smart car parking space out front of the Craig Street Brew Pub on Sunday night in Duncan, BC.On a side note, the pub was fantastic and we would recommend it for sure!
  8. I forgot all about telling you about the specs :)Sally is an 08 Passion Coupe. We got the tack and clock as well as the fog lights. She's also Yellow with a Silver cell.I'll have to post some pics when I get some taken. I'm thinking today I should have some pics later on. I'll try to post them asap.Cheers!-DK-
  9. Our quote was only 1080 for a year and this includes all the liabilities (2,000,000), collision, comprehensive (fire, theft, etc), and new car replacement. We are in BC so it's way better out here with the gov't still moderating insurance.
  10. I'm pretty sure that the eco rebate was a short term program from the start designed to aid those already considering the switch. I could be wrong that that is how I understood it.
  11. Oh it's good to hear that you bought from the same dealer we are getting ours from... We are hoping to get the call that ours is ready any time now... Who was your sales person?
  12. The one advantage to getting the smart sound package is that it wires the car for all the speakers you would want for aftermarket and then you don't have to worry about cutting for new speakers either.I was under the impression that the sound package came standard in the passion so I didn't bother getting it taken out. I'll likely get a custom deck installed at some point but for now the stock will be okay. I've got a pair of infinity 5 1/2's hanging out right now that I'm likely going to install due to them being great quality and def better than stock.
  13. Thanks for the info here guys and story for hi-jacking this thread... I still haven't heard back from eddy after almost a week... is thtat normal?
  14. Our Dealer here just started offering an actual MB warranty instead of the third party offering. We aren't planning on keeping the car for more than a couple of years and I think that this kind of thing should be labeled a scam ... but I digress. At least what they were offering was through the MB brand and backed by them.
  15. Well it turns out that I don't need to know the number as it is in Vancouver and my dealer has been billed for it. This means that the car will be here in days
  16. If anyone is buying a new smart and getting rid of their current vehicle, you should look into this program. http://scrapit.ca/ We found out about the program a little too late but we still qualify for the majority of funds back just not the dealer portion. In a nutshell, they compare your carbon output of the new vehicle to the old vehicle and then give you money for your car based on that difference. So because we are getting rid of an 89 prelude we are getting 2000 for scraping it. It is slightly more complicated, but only slightly. Take a look at it and see if you qualify. We were looking for about 2000 for our car anyways but now we don't have to deal with selling it and we help out the environment too. Unfortunately this only works for BC residents and they list the participating dealerships.
  17. Happy to help out!
  18. Well we were going to sell our older Prelude (89) which is in fantastic condition but we didn't get on it soon enough and now the insurance is on the verge of expiry so we just opted for the 2000 from the program and all is well. That was my bottom line for the car anyways and now we don't have to deal with creeps looking for a deal.
  19. The HP increase isn't the only reason that we are looking at the remap though. We are hoping that the remap will reduce the lag in shifting and also help with the, imo, overly long powerband of 1st.
  20. This is an interesting issue. I would love to see the ferries take it seriously but the only thing they are considering is their bottom line. I wonder what it would take to actually get change to happen. I mean, we already have enviro-friendly parking spots in Victoria, and there are parkades in Vancouver that only charge half price.
  21. I'm seriously thinking about getting this... it is for the 451 right? We really want the remap as well so I think that the intake will be second.
  22. We are likely going to get our 451 remapped soon after we buy it. It will be interesting to see how that changes the feel of the car.
  23. Okay I have no idea what any of the acronyms in the OP actually mean lolMaybe I'll "understand when I'm older... the men are talking right now"
  24. Is it the dealer that can tell me the number you are posting?
