  1. ED's of Car2Go San Diego are 2nd Gen.
  2. In case you don't know the video already - this is a nice documentary about a little journey with the smart ed.
  3. TÜV inspection is every 2 years and AU is included since last year. Costs are about 100€. O.k. this is completly off-topic, but i didn't have any problems in the past getting TÜV-aproval with the smart or any other car. They check brakes, suspension, lights, tires... everything about safty. They don't care about the optical condition of your body, a least you have huge rust holes in you car body. Well - it's a little overpriced, it only takes about 10-15min.Taxes for new cars are now based on CO2-emission. Older cars are calculated on motorsize and emission class. My cdi would be 133€/year.2 litre Sierra (worst case: Gas would be 20x25,36€ = 507€ = 710CAN$, Diesel: 20x37,58 € = 752€ = 1052CAN$)
  4. Yes, i have a license plate valid from 11 to 04 (Nov to April). But i consider changing that to a normal license plate for the whole year because the expenses for fuel are growing constantly - and my 'summer'-car needs a lot of fuel
  5. Hi!A couple of days ago i browsed youtube and discovered a wonderfull declaration of love towards a smart car (yeah, the 200000km Video of Duck). It was so intense, it kind of made me reconsider my attitude towards my smart. It's a 2001 42 cdi with i drive since 2006 from November-March each winter. I love the car, but i had so much trouble with it last winter (transmission and clutch) i considerd getting rid of it. But now i think i will keep it and postpone that decision till autumn. Anyway, it's funny to discover there is a huge community of smart-loving guys over there. So, i got a account and here i am.Keep rolling!Tom
