Greetings! I have a 2005 Smart with 100K on the clock. I've been trying to get it smoked for a year. There's a sensor that won't wake up, so it throws the whole system off and it won't pass California smog test. Folks have told me to drive it. I've put over 1500 miles on it, had three smog test attempts and now have a fix-it ticket. Any ideas? the sensor throws off a "not ready" signal so I can't pass the functional smog inspection. HELP. I don't want to have this be the end of our journey together.
Can anyone tell me if the exhaust is fitted with a DPF or a similar version of a DPF or catalytic converter that can get clogged up and cause a poor engine performance issue like low power and black smoke? Vehicle is a 2006 fortwo Diesel
