Hi to ya there, Ohiosmart!Regarding your mention that your 'spam filtering' chomped on your Smart emails, I should mention that I went in and pulled up my prior Smart emails and made sure to tell my email 'client' program--actually Hotmail--that my Smart emails were 'safe' or 'not junk'.So, guess where I found my 'big email'? In my freakin' junk mail folder, yet again. Oh well, here's to diligent human email monitoring. Sorry to hear that your experiences have had several hurdles to hop, but glad you got to go to a test drive and glad you're still 'in the queue' with the rest of us. Now I know the problem..........

Never received the configuration email though I did get phone messages. Garbled at best and sounded like

dealer pressure prior to a "test" drive last week. My "window" has been closed without me ever configuring a car. Customer service says they'll reopen my "window" and give me another shot in a week or two though I've forfeited my first opportunity and will have to get in back of the line. I'm a tad pissed that I never received email. I've collected EVERYTHING they've sent but no invitation to configure a car. Whatchyagonnado.

Finally! Received the configuration email last night and picked out my Smart. Black/Silver Tridion, comfort package, fog lights and extra gauges.This process was helped by super customer service that responded quicker to my problem than they said they would. Hopefully the dealership end of the equation does the same when the time comes. Thought you'd like to know.

I got my notice to go and configure my Smart earlier this afternoon, and I didn't waste much time getting it back in to them.

Congratulations! I'm six days behind you so I hope to be looking at a finalization email in the next week or two. Way back in April I didn't think I could wait until the end of the year, now most of the time has already passed. It really helps to read all the messages from other owners and soon-to-be owners.Scott

Thanks, Scott! And yes, if you were only six days behind me, you'll probably see your email very soon. (And be sure to check your spam/junk email folder too! Even though I'd told my email options that my smart emails weren't junk, my "Big Email" still landed in my junk folder. Mine came straight from "David Schembri" (support@mysmartfortwo.com), though, so maybe that explains how it slipped through. The subject line also read "configure your smart fortwo now".)I was surprised to see mine come on a Friday, as earlier info indicated they were just emailing out on Mondays, and every other week too. I guess after they got the initial abundance of reservation holders notified, they were able to pick up the pace greatly.I'm like you, inasmuch as I can hardly believe that we are now only a few short months from pulling these into our own garages. This has been a fun ride, though. I've enjoyed this past year, and can't wait for next year. Hope you get your email quickly. See ya,wayneo

I just placed mine this week. I had signed up with the $99 reservation several months ago and did receive a couple of phone messages from them that were very garbled and sounded like dealer sales pressure. I had yet to visit the demo day event and take a drive so I didn't pay much attention. Turns out the calls were a follow up to me not having replied to the email invitation to configure my car. Thing is I never received an email. Customer service took care of me and re-opened my "window" to configure and sent an email. I was told I'd be forfeiting my original place in line though. I've been very happy with customer service.Hopefully the dealership does the same.

I have never received a phone call but I have completed the process. I received everything via email confirmation, even the test drive invitation.

I got my order invitation yesterday. The reservation was 3/30. I ordered a fully loaded light yellow/silver Passion Coupe. I'm still very concerned about premium fuel and mediocre fuel consumption, but I'll give it a go. I suppose I can find a good hot rod shop to install custom pistons to get me back on 87 octane fuel -- if the engine will not adapt.

I like your color comb, yellow/silver. I'm not worried about the extra cost of premium fuel since the car gets 40+ mpg. That's only $50 extra every 10,000 miles.

what was the last four digits of your resv number?, on the smartusa forum they're trying to track these to see how far into the resv list they're progressing ... if I hazard a guess I would say 1185, mine is 1188 so not far behind you ...

Yes, thank you for another piece of the puzzle. Now if we could get smartUSA to publish on their website the last for digits of the reservation number that they are sending out the second confirmations then it would be really easy to guesstimate when you are to be notified by email and or phone.

Our guesses were very close. I reserved 4-April and just received my configuration email 9-November.I impatiently configured yellow|silver but may need to change that one my wife finds out.I can't help it if the email came while she was out of town

OK...I'm confirmed. It's funny...all along I was just adamant that I was getting a Pure...for the simple fact that I DID NOT want electric windows. But...when I went to configure, I really-really wanted those googly-eye instruments. And guess what?? You guessed...you can only get those on the Passion. So, fine...I relented.
