Shrink in the wash!

5 posts in this topic

Will the new NA Smart fit on the track of an automatic car wash ?Although we plan to baby our new Smart (as we did with our Miata) and not drive it winters, we still want to wash It's bottom often. Must we only hand wash Smart cars ? A real PIA when its cold out :tremble: A2jack.

The car will probably fit into an automatic car wash but the car is so short that the rear of the car nevers get washed because it is too far away from the rear of the car. And the read gets lots of salt on it. I go to the indoor hand washing places. It usually cost me about 5 dollars to wash my car inside and out.

I've tried the auto washes and Artz is right - you'll fit in, but no water will hit your arse end.I usually go to one of those drive in hand wash places. For 6 bucks I can wash and wax the whole car.

ahhh, with the esso's around here once in and once it starts on the front of your car, follow the arm back until it is in a position where it can wash the rear of the car. It then reprograms for the fromt and all is well.
