Sorry all. I "fixed" the graphic in the post only to accidentally upload a similar pic and not the correct one!

Do you want others to show up Keith? Or is this your show? I'll be around that day and I'd attend if you want.

Steve

I've e-mailed the advisory out to a few other smarts in the area, so having a few more would be welcomed I'm sure... more test drives to offer!

Mayor Mary Reeves of Abbotsford.

Abbotsford BTW is BC's fifth largest city. And 1 of 6 BC cities taking part in the One-Tonne Challenge in a larger capacity.

That's waaaaay old news now!! That was the media advisory I posted at the top.

There has been one newspaper story appear already in the Abbotsford News with a photo, and a quick blurb on the event from Tuesday. (They reported correctly my overall of '116 kms per gallon', but that was an awkward way to display the economy... but yes, that is 72 mpg, or 3.9L/100 km)

One thing that is being reported incorrectly (partly due to the wording of the media advisory), is that Abbotsford is one of 'only' six cities in Canada taking part in the 'Community Challenge' program. In fact, we're one of six in BC, and 1 of I think 48 across the entire country.

It's been a busy summer for the OTC smart car at official events:

July 1: Canada Day Parade/Exhibition Park

July 8-9: Berry Festival

July 14: smart-vespa event

July 16: Abbotsford Farmers Market

July 21: BC Hydro Power Smart event at Mill Lake in Abbotsford

Upcoming:

July 28 thru Aug 1: Abbotsford Agrifair (car will be there for the entire event - I will ride a bike)

Aug 12 to 14: Abbotsford International Airshow (entire event)

I'm trying to work up some better promotional material for the two big events coming up.

Well, I just don't do other things. But some days I take off from work.

The trick now for the next two events is actually having something to drive!!
