DATE CHANGE:Calling all smart car enthusiasts and participantsCleo and James Niagara Cruise Event for 2008 – FINAL PLANS After listening to our smart car friends and weighing the pro’s and con’s of a smart car event for this year, coupled with both personal and professional demands Cleo and I have agreed to organize the following event.We are VERY excited to announce something a bit different then our usual wine tour and cruise … without any further delay … we would like to introduce;The 2008 Niagara smart car Treasure HuntWe decided in fitting with the reinvented 2008 smart car it was time to reinvent the cruise and add a new adventure for all participating enthusiasts and smartsters.We are in the mists of planning as I post this note … Imagine, starting off with a causal and unhurried meet and greet in beautiful Jordan/Niagara on-the-Lake area. Door prizes for best show and shine smart cars, both classic and 2008 models. The fun really picks up when we start the one and only 2008 smart car Treasure Hunt through Niagara and all parts in between. Smartie’s will be working together to solve the clues, find the “treasures” and in the process meet new friends and old. Once this portion of the day is completed; all the clues solved; destinations uncovered and evidence collected its back to our secret location for a potluck BBQ and picnic. hi guys...firstly, sad to hear its no longer a 2 day event, was looking forward to having a party in my room that night for those who were into it, and spending some time with smart friends over a couple of meals. with that being said, i would suggest the following to you: perhaps you, as the organizers, should just pick a date, and let everyone sign up who can make it. i think theres a good possibility that 50% would want one sunday, 50% the other, then youre stuck picking one !! maybe you should just pick a date, and theres enough time that the rest of us can shuffle plans around if need be to accommodate it. i personally look forward to the get together, and would make either day available on my calendar for it, as im sure a lot of other smart friends would. its nice to have a choice of date, and you may luck out and have a strong preference for one over the other, but now it'll take a while to cement the date while we wait to see who chimes in for one over the other. we appreciate the choice, and understand you cant please everyone all the time...i just would suggest this to make your life easier, its your idea, your effort, "if you pick it, they will come"...perhaps we can get an idea here, using the "cut and paste" method, to gauge the day of choice it you stick to that.JULY 13TH 1.
