Food Drive / Fun Run, Dec 13, 2008

I am suggesting a Food Drive and Fun Run combination on Dec 13, 2008 in Calgary.

The 2008 CP Holiday Train will be in Calgary that night.

In case you don't know what the Holiday Train is, here is a section of their news release:

Over 70 Canadian cities, towns and villages will experience the Holiday

Train spirit, starting in Montreal on November 29 and concluding in Port Moody

on December 18. In the U.S, a second Holiday Train will visit more than 40

communities from will experience the train of lights.

At each event, Canadian Pacific provides the train, a box car stage, a

line up of great Canadian music talent and a corporate contribution to the

local food bank. The community, in turn, encouraged to donate foods or funds,

all of which stays in their community.

I am withdrawing this idea.I have had no response and now have booked myself elsewhere. Oh, well. I will still donate to a food drive but will have to wait to meet my fellow Smarties here in Calgary.
