It's sold in Thailand, Vietnam & Philippine but decade ago fewer than 10 in Singapore. Now known only 2 in Singapore not include 10 hybrid brought in for test, only in the region.1st major gather in Malaysia was 2006 where almost 250 cars met in Penang joined by VIP guests. 2007 was really small, 53 cars only. I got mine in late 2006, so missed the 1st. But manage to got on the 2nd. The 3rd was not heard of as the a drift among members and parted. Now here in Malaysia, there 3 known club. I'm in the free and easy group, smart4all. smart car is for all! Care to visit http://smart4all.my/Here, in Malaysia, we meet once awhile or when free, within our town. Sometimes get together for a short trip. Our feel free, drop by to our friends in other city. As to other country, that's some problem, Thailand capital Bangkok is far. Vietnam more. Phillippine, need a ship. Singapore, we drove in mostly but can't meet any. The hybrids driven by the tester from "?"...... Edited by JKA6373

We used to get a lot of meetings too in our region. But like all other clubs, it becomes scares. No one step up to host it. Even when you host it, very few people commit to turn out. We have yet to get an event with more the 100 cars. The first year we had smart was probably the biggest event with over 50 cars; when there were maybe 100 cars delivered.

Canada had four seasons, we here had, well two. Either rain or sun. Wet drive depend most on good tyres. But 175/55/15 is hard to fine. Easy to find was Goodyear NCT5. Not good for hard drive.Sunny day, really need good coolant and air con. It's really hot. Even inside car really hot. Once take temperature reading at over 70 degree celsius(that's the max the thermometer can take.) So most prefer to drive at night, which is cooler.

Maybe drive in the winter months. It wasn't that hot when I was in the region last month. Max 25-27 day time. I was hoping for 30+.

LOL... 30+... the air con won't feel that much. Leaving your car outdoor for a while, in side like a sauna room... man that's hot! In heavy traffic, the air-con feel more like heater! :yuk:
