Uh-oh, a new entry for the cdi engine failure Wiki.

Contact a dealer if the car was dealer serviced and see if they will offer a cost sharing on the new engine.

Post in the Technical forums if you want advice on what to do, if hoping to repair it.

Our green one is at 227,000 and the white one at almost 34,000. So that's 261K! But two cars, it doesn't count.

My 2008 red cabrio was purchased by me on June 27, 2012 and came with just over 63,000kms. It was a lease return and supposedly has had all of the required maintenance and then $1700 of work done before I purchased it this week. Having a few issues but will hopefully rectify them soon.

Bam, where've I been! Someone's at 380 000+ km?! Wow!!

(I edited the article entry for mine, in light of getting it back on the road next week, hope that's OK :))

Duck's back! And is greeted with a glove-slap challenge! ("Let's see, 103K km to hit 380, I can do that in a year if we take those road trips. Sure would be nice not to have to drive that bland vague-handling gas-sucking Prius!")And of course you're supposed to edit your entry, that's what it's there for.
