Tuesday May 01st In Lucan

A great turnout for April at the King Edward, an English-style pub in Ilderton. I think we had just over 20 in attendance.

A few of the group suggested our next outing be to an Irish pub in Lucan (just north of London), so....

O'Leary"s Pub, 172 Main St. in Lucan, Ontario (519-227-4782)

Link to their web site.... but it seems to be under construction, so no posted menu yet.

They have something called 'OMG Hot Wings'. Eat one (and presumably survive) and you get your picture taken and a free T-shirt.

This may pose an interesting challenge to some in our group. Remember we usually have medical personnel in attendance.

Hi, today I tried to make the reservation by phone, but didn't get an answer though I tried numerous times. So, we drove up to Lucan to investigate about 6 pm. There was a sign on the door that said they were closed "today". I will ring them mid-day tomorrow, Tuesday, May 1st, to try again. If any problem, will post at once. Great pictures. A good time was had by all, I hope.Thanks to Alberta and Cliff for confirming reservation and, of course, the 'Smart cake'.Maybe we'll plan a return visit here someday, giving them enough time to serve up the OMG chicken wings.We found out that a week's notice is required, waivers need to be signed and witnesses are needed to confirm participatnt's overall health status prior to serving. Sounds like fun, don't it ??
