The Numbers Are In For My Ab "vacay"

3 posts in this topic

Outbound from Kelowna towing a 400# of trailer and cargo, there was an FE penalty. Still, 4.41l/100km not too bad.Returning from NE of Edmonton, a) I was in a hurry and pushed hard and, 2) had an intercooler hose leak [finally sorted it right and proper today] so I paid a BIG mileage penalty for that @ 6.44 :yikes:Bil :drive:

It's down mostly to the intake hose leak where I deleted the EGR. Even a small air leak makes quite a difference, and a larger leak like I had costs plenty! But still, 6.44l/100km is almost 40% less than the Chevy I had before the smart!I think that little intercooler leak that we've heard so much about, due to chafing on the scoop bracket (or whatever that thing is called?), is doing more than dripping a little oil on the driveway! I wonder if I can inspect it by sticking my camera up from underneath? I really don't want to pull the intercooler and then find there's nothing going on!B :sun:
