Styrofoam Battery Cover Replacement

I'm am so sick of trying to pull out that oversized hunk of crap from under the passengers feet. What horrible level of hell was that rage inducing instrument of torture devised?Has anyone developed a replacement for it? I really dont think that it needs to be anywhere near that large. Does anyone have ant ideas of what would be a good replacement material? Is there any interest in an alternative?

Shaving off material in strategic areas is the obvious and quick solution. Designing and manufacturing a replacement is not as easy as you may think.

Take the air compressor and bottle of tire gunk out first and pull the carpet all the way back before trying to pull the block out.Canman

I cut the top 20% off with a utility knife....can't say it's been missed.

I don't know but the Smart "designer" that did the original foam molded cover needs a good slap upside the ed !

In half from front to back? Or in half from top to bottom?

Never had an issue getting these in or out...just be rough with it and make sure the 'nuts' holding it in are removed and carpet pulled back...

Front to back. 1/3 from the right side in fact.
