Too bad they do not have any in inventory, as far as their website is concerned anyways.

And here I was, scheming to sell Old Man Red, fly to Toronto with the proceeds and pick up a 2013 cabrio and drive it home. Darn ;)

So tell me, Noah, what would the payment be on a financed (5 year) 2013 cabriolet that you have in stock right now (or can get), after paying all the new car fees and applying the discounts?

Guys, the website is a horrible source for stock info...Mike... Most cabrios have the innovation package ( the nav / bluetooth / cd stereo). That being said, with $8000 off (extra 2k is if youre in a lease/finance right now). And using just $500 deposit, 5 years is $286 / 6 years is $240 per month. The rate is the same for 4/5/6 years and the difference in interest from 5 -> 6 years is about $10 total, so you may want to spread it out longer, keep a bit more money in your pocket now... And it can all be paid off any time with no penalty. Those rates include all the fees and taxes - you just add license plates to the upfront cost.If youre eligible for that extra 2k, 5 years with a $500 deposit is now $247/month, $207/month for 6 yearsIt will be slightly xheaper if you want the one and only cabrio without innovation package. Some have additional things like the upgraded speaker system, cargo cover or Brabus wheels.

What are you looking for? I probably have a more accurate inventory than the website

OK, I bought my 2006 smart new and still own it. What's this about needing to be in a lease or finance to get the loyalty discount? Buying something outright instead of having to finance it should make me an even more desirable customer, shouldn't it?

Do what I did when I bought the Ford: get the loan, save two grand, then pay it off in a lump sum and keep the discount. It's easy.

*I was wrong!!!*I just talked to my manager for clarification... To get loyalty when buying a Mercedes, you need to be with MB Financial. If you simply own any year of smart or Mercedes, you can get loyalty on a smartSorry for the confusion... At least I corrected myself fairly quickly :)

Get me that deal on an electric cab and we talk.

Which deal? In Quebec, you get up to $8000 rebate on electric after taxes (Ontario $8500, BC $5000) .. Plus $2000 loyalty off. so yes, you can get $10k off as well

Looks like the $2000 is for gas and electric models only. I guess us CDI owners aren't loyal enough. lol

[5] Loyalty offer of $2000 off MSRP valid on gas and electric drive models for current smart fortwo owners only. Offer expires October 31, 2013. Loyalty offer of $1000 off valid only for current Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter owners, where copy of valid ownership must be supplied. Considering the CDI's were here longer you would think we would be more loyal ? And if you own 2 smart cars, do you get double the loyalty ?

Tough crowd. It is a good deal if someone's looking for a 451 cabrio, at a tick over 10 grand, new.

Umm, unless my command of our post-Norman tongue has failed me, "Loyalty offer of $2000 off MSRP valid on gas and electric drive models for current smart fortwo owners only" means the loyalty offer is applicable towards gas and electric drive models. It does not preclude owners of diesel smarts.

Doh. That's what I get for reading it quickly. It's a great deal. If I was in the market for a gas smart I'd be all over it.

There's also a fleet discount. Register the car in a company name and there's another $500 off

Sorry for the delay, I was away for a week.Hi James, yes - Carson is here and is in a pre-owned Mercedes sales role now. I think I met you towards the end of the summer at the smart test drive promotion at first Markham centre... Either that or there's 2 Garfield cars around :)The Canadian package is a Pure with: panoramic roof, led daytime running lights in the front bumper, 6 spoke alloys, heated seats and gps/bluetooth/cd radio unit.Priced at $16,200 ($1800 more than a base pure at $14,400 but with about $3500 in options) and has a $4900 end of year discount. Hurry - we're running out of remaining 2013's and the double loyalty is almost done. Edited by twobytwo
