Adjusting Headlights

6 posts in this topic

I have noticed a few people blinking at me at night, as if I had the high beams on. I have the stock 451 lights... Nothing fancy. So I am guessing that my headlights might need alignment, and was wondering if this is a DIY kind of project, or if it should be done by the dealer. Opinions?

Great link Pat. Thank you! I'll see if my brother can find me room in his garage (indoors and heated :) and give it a try this weekend.

Also make sure your cut-off is mostly right. The bulb might not be seated quite right, and it might be shooting light way up in the air. Not sure how the lenses on the 451 would affect this.

Just reporting back to say all is well, and this has to have been the easiest thing I've even done with a car in terms of "fixing" something. Having a level floor and a wall (not to mention indoors while is it minus something outside) really helped a lot.
