Nav/multimedia system: Audio drop-outs when using iPod?

4 posts in this topic

I'm not sure if this is specific to the ED, or if it's common to all 451 models with the nav/multimedia radio, but I've noticed in the last couple of days that when I'm running my iPod touch as the audio source, the sound occasionally drops out for half a second or so at random intervals. The iPod never did this when running line-out into the stereo of my old 450, so it seems like it's an issue with the new radio.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a solution?

Is it possible that there is a "traffic" option on the radio, as there was on the 450 Grundig radios? On the Grundigs it would seemingly randomly switch to a different station then switch back every once in a while. This could result in either random static, or random dead air.

Mine does the same drop out too.

And is anyone notice that the clock is always slower than the cluster? no matter how I adjust it.
