Rust & Panel Damage

1 post in this topic

A friend of mine had asked if I would repair some rust in front of his "A" pillar of his Numeric Blue 450 Smart "Dougie".

While I was at it, could I fix some of the scratches on the rear and front gaurd where a 4WD took a short cut in changing lanes.

CHALLENGE!

The Black took about 3-4 hours after the front panels and parts were removed.

Touching up the Numeric Blue was more of a challenge. 3 Air brushes with Blue - White - Black mixtures did the job.

Coates of clear and when set, hand buff up to blend in the edges.

When finished there was time for a photo shoot. Neighbours are still walking out their front doors and looking. Not often to see 3 Smart cars on my front lawn.

Dougie will be picked up in another 2 days. Till then I'll have 3 Smarts in my driveway.
