Turbo Chra stuck in mainfold

Drove that fuc!r for 30000km without a problem
then in a few days, thermostat, waterpump, starter, and now the turbo

ordered a new chra, but can not pull out my old chra out from the mainfold
tryed to heat with propan butan without succes

BTW the i remove the starter in 45 minuts :D

carefully use more heat and penetrating oil

large brass punch helps too...

All I can say is heat and penetrating oil and repeat as necessary until you go mad.

Use jack screws and bearing housing comes off easily in one piece. I did mine two weeks ago. Heating turbine housing helps.

man thats a lot of extra work taking the whole thing off...when i did mine i left the manifold on the car..

I just replaced my turbo cartridge with the manifold still attached to the car. I gave it a few strong taps a metal mallet and she popped right off. Will be much more difficult since you have the manifold off. I suggest holding down the manifold on a vise tightly then tap with a mallet. Biggest problem for me was removing the 3 small rusted bolts using only a wrench without stripping the heads. Don't forget the clean the cartridge and manifold mating area with a wire brush before installing.
