Aftermarket radio

3 posts in this topic

Does anyone know if I can put an aftermarket radio/soundsystem in my 2006 smart. The current one has no phone connection and I use the car for quoting jobs with work so I'm forever pulling over and returning calls...

I have looked into a newer model smart wreck car with newer radio but there is nothing in Australia

Thanks

It has been done by many smart owners. One of my smarts has a Kenwood entertainment centre installed. I'm still trying to figure out all the things it does - and the sound is incredible!

Take it to a shop that specializes in auto sound and I'm sure they will give you a lot of options!

Or you can install an aftermarket bluetooth kit which can hook into your existing unit. But it will probably cost you the same as getting a new bluetooth-enabled unit installed. Alternatively, if you want to go the cheap and nasty option, you can get one of those bluetooth FM transmitters that you can plug into your ciggarette socket.
