Nobody has posted a June outing, so here goes.....

Tuesday June 05th at GT’s On The Beach in Port Stanley.

www.gtsonthebeach.com

The menu looks fairly extensive and the reviews are favourable.

Plus it’s a nice short drive for most from London and area.

Plus it’s close to Mackie’s on the corner, for a quick Orangeade,

Plus we just have to pass Shaw’s Ice Cream on the way home, for a cone or shake. :)

Starting time is 6:30, unless you come early for a treat (maybe Mackie’s fries?)

FYI.... GTs no longer takes reservations, but I’m told there’s lots of seats and lots of parking !!

So let’s see everybody down to Port Stanley for a 6:30 kickoff.

We’ll have a pleasant drive, a nice dinner followed by an ice cream chaser at Shaw’s.

Forcast is for a high of 18C and 30% chance of showers, which usually means sunny.

All who signed up, showed up, so attendance was good.

Mother nature was being mean to those of us who were hoping to enjoy the benefits of a convertible by keeping the temperatures around the early spring-like ranges in the very low teens.  Between that and the wind at our thoroughly exposed eating area, it was a chilly night to say the least.  At least it didn't snow!

Despite the cool temperatures, some members actually stopped at Shaw's for some ice cream for dessert after dinner.

All 12 that signed up above plus Ralph and Monica.  Total attendance was 14.  Great turnout!

The wind whipping your hair while you’re scarfing down your burger is truly a Canadian thing.

Kind of a ‘restaurant Sally meets camper Joe’.  GTs did offer blankets to anyone that wanted one.  Liz found it a life saver. :)

Maybe next month we’ll try for a weather-proof restaurant with a roof and 4 walls.

Suggestion was made for The Wharf in Sarnia again.

Nice drive plus great fish&chips and pies.

I’ll post when I confirm with Glenn.
