Each keyfob has its own id.  When coding keys, the car is told to recognise each keyfob that is coded.  Keyfob is not coded.  The car is coded to the keyfob.  All keyfobs have to be done same time.  Keyfobs not present during coding will no longer work.

This really is a scarey situation isn't it.....what if you also simply lost or misplaced them and then what, at the mercy of a dealership who I typically call stealerships because of this situation!   Once I figure my STAR system out I'll be cloning my keys for sure to make damned sure I don't fall into the same trap as this, DAMN...!

I'm guessing here but I think you wear a skirt,...?  The best typical target for a stealership...imho!  Very Sorry to say!
