2005 cabrio rear window replacement

7 posts in this topic

Shop around and don’t forget to check out places that do boat tops as well.  These guys quoted me about a hundred dollars if I removed the rear section and brought it in but they are probably too far from you. http://tarpandcanvas.ca/

id also recommend a tarp or boat top place

just make sure they use thick material...the thinner stuff doesnt look right

also probably a good idea for them to see it before you remove it ..and make sure they use the old piece as template because its really easy to sew it in slightly crooked and that will look like crap full of wrinkles

taking it off is easy...theres a good video on youtube showing how

I need to replace the vinyl rear window on ours it has been opaque for quite a few years and now has cracked. ;-(  The vinyl seems to be glued/bonded to the stitched in surround, has anyone tried to remove it without cutting the stitched in part (using heat/ solvent/whatever) and if so what did they use, and did the replacement glue into place. Thanks!

Search the club site.

There was someone in Montreal ?? replacing vinyl windows with glass a few years ago.

Worth investigating, if they’re still there.

Pictures and price both looked good.
