One headlight now points downwards

3 posts in this topic

Headlight wiggles in housing now points downward- light bulb is solid in place but housing is like a can that moves within the larger light assembly.  anybody know how to fix this?

If it's a Canadian sourced car, it is probably a failed headlight adjustment motor. Try the adjuster on the left of the steering column, but it's likely a stripped gear inside the light.

I have the same issue but facing skywards and it does adjust....I looked at the bulb placement from the front looking in, and you can just see it's out of place in comparisn to the other side. It looks like the bulb has moved in the locating socket, maybe? I am waiting for the rain to stop before removing the front clip to get a proper look at rear of headlight or take it out and swap it out.  I have hit a few really nasty potholes or train tracks duting the summer, so just wondering maybe it got shaken out of position. BUT, maybe Mike is right?  Won't know until I get it out.
