1911 Berliet

4 posts in this topic

Ended the weekend at my friend Michel Verdier's home in Eure et Loir, and he let me drive his 1911 Berliet sedan several km.  WOW!  4 speed crashbox, top speed about 30 km/h and peak RPM about 1550.  Wonderful!

My favorite era of auto design is the 1908 - 1928 and 4dr touring models at thevtop of the list

Berliet was a french company IIRC, at least european made.

Tell your friend he has a great looking horseless carriage there.

Berliet was indeed made in Lyon France.  Their main business was railway locomotives and later, heavy trucks.  Renault bought them out about 30 years ago.
