Sleeping on an ondol bed. This one looks like a western bed but the mattress is only a thin quilt and under the quilt there is an electric heated stone slab.

My log cabin has double glazing.

Here they have double double glazing whilst in the uk many houses still have single glazing.

Little incentive to get double glazing in the UK while we were still able to steal oil from other peoples countries to run our power stations.  Problem is no one believes the old WMD excuse any more.

I need to go there, I'd lose so much weight it would be great for me.....the only thing I can see I could eat is the white rice and maybe some of the slop gravy around it......OK 5 peas also....lol.

Living off the land and invited to a country club, eh.......sounds like a resturant with a price tag......lol

Surely they grow steaks on the land over there?

Of course they do. Had beef bulgogi for lunch today.

You cook it yourself at the table which in its middle is outfitted with a gas burner and extraction above for the fumes.  They cut the meat into smaller pieces with scissors and eat using slippery steel chopsticks.

In the olden days, I remember, they used yontan (coal) fired stoves without any extraction, stove fitted in a hole cut in centre of table.

Was served a rather strange breakfast this morning. Porridge with potatoes and eggs submerged in it. Wish I had taken a photo.
