Smart mhd won't start

5 posts in this topic

Just put a new battery in Smart mhd. (Yes, it is a stop/start battery). Car had been standing for quite a while with dead battery. I have tried the various "resets" suggested elsewhere on this site.

Car now turns over fine, but will not start.

After a few seconds of turning over, displays what looks like a spanner on the dash and the "kilometers" reading changes to -131 (some sort of code I presume??).

Anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like it has gone over it's service requirements perhaps, may be critical on that model..????   Just a guess....and it now requires to be reset.

Could be blown fuse powering fuel pump or faulty fuel pump.

Can you hear fuel pump running when you turn on ignition?
