Smart car alloy sets

2 posts in this topic

Hello everyone.

I have been looking into buying some new alloy wheels for my 450 but most of the wheel sets have all wheels the same size.

A while back I remember reading that the reason the 450s have smaller front wheels is down to safety as they tended to roll during the 40mph sudden swerve test.

Is it worth buying a cool looking set or should I stick to the current set up?

I thank you in advance for any advice.

Personal prefferance to each their own.  One reason is the one you state and another is fuel economy- pushing wider tires with more weight and wind resistance.  But the looks are very nice. You also need to understand the wheel or rim offset dimensions to make sure nothing rubs etc.   To each their own.....looks over the other reasons not to.
