Oil leaking from gearbox

Hello everyone.

I have a 2017 Smart fortwo 0.9T - I got it used two years ago. One year in, the gearbox started leaking. The first mechanic took it out twice, stating one of the seals he couldn't trace nor buy, and the leak was not solved. However it was only one little drop. Fast forward 6 months, and the car starts leaking huge amount. The second mechanic takes the gearbox out, states the same thing about this particular seal, uses some specific sealant and a new seal of same dimensions - 2 days later it leaks. I feel like i'm loosing my sanity especially since I have to go by what these ppl say, not having enough knowledge myself. Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest you ask your Smart dealer if he can provide the required oil seals or you can do your own search:
