Well found the metalic sound from beater's engine....

4 posts in this topic

Hmmm...I started to hear a slight metalic rattle at times as i was driving the beater.....yes I also had doubled my oil change distance as I was planning to take it off the road soon. BUT....!!!!!
So yesterday, broke down and changed the oil expecting to see something shiny in the black ooze...nothing....Hmmm...? Nothing in filter either....so the hunt was on. I finally found it, I guess I had hit a hard piece of snow on the road somewhere and it has loosened my metal inter cooler scoop!  So, I will live with the slight rattle and see....far less of a concern compared to something internal.

Now if I could only break loose this frig'in carbon weld it injector!!!!   It is getting soaked in super penetrating fluid as we speak....

carb cleaner...or throttle body cleaner might work a bit better if youre sure its carbon buildup causing it to be stuck

I have a few other projects to finish on other vehicles and the warmer drier weather is almost here, then it'll be full speed after the good car to be finally dealt with. I'll try carb cleaner etc next. I also have new tool made that hopefully will allow far more pressure to be applied to help twist loose the injector body.
Keep the suggestions coming...I'll let you know what finally did it.
