2010 fortwo. I parked car, started, 5 minutes later filled fuel and no starter. I went thru the trans learn. All gears appear ok.

When I try to start I hear click in sam and fuel pump. I get a beeping like the door is ajar and the blower shuts down then power is restored.

Battery is charged. 12.5V at batt but at starter only seeing 7-8 V?

Have no codes using Autel.

HELP.... Please

I connected a booster cable from the neg batt post to the alternator.

No difference. I also put 12v on solenoid, it operated but putting 12v on the starter got nothing.

Ass u me... Assuming the starter is bad.

Have ordered a new one.

Check the signal wire connection to the starter to make sure it's tight as it does come lose...?  A simple tightening might help..?  Did you try to hot wire the starter bypassing the solenoid..? Is the short braided wire from solenoid to starter broken or corroded? Where did you order your starter from? Any place can get them for around the $200-$250 range so hopefully not the dealership...augh!

Hit the starter with a hammer.

So old, yet so useful....a good tap may solve it for a while like in the old days...lol

Thanks all. Took starter out. Put 12v on solenoid only operated once. Tried on starter. Nothing. Mercedes replaced the starter about 7 years ago. A mere $850. Smarty has been good so wanna keep her goin.(but not at MB price)

Starter coming Dec 5.
