I think that bead width is more relevant to this question than tread width. Usually the tread is significantly wider than the bead-to-bead width....

So Eddy, what do you say? 1:1 at maximum? Or 20-30 mm more than wheel width?

I'll stick to the manufacturer recommand size in most part. Otherwise would not vary with more then one size. That's why you see all my packages are test and proven by thousands of other same models around the world. It is your guessing game when you creating your own packages. So many perimeters to considser just to get the right package on yur car.-overall diameter to meet today's computers-safety-comfort-driveability-durability of related components-many more....

That last shot is what I arrived to tonight... they look MEAN in person. Very prominent. Of course, you might consider spacers in the rear and the widestar fenders to complete the look. Very nice.

I've seen on a few European smart forums that people are putting on 195/195 front/rear tires on 15" Brabus rims. This is on pre-2007 smarts. I was suprised as it seemed the "rule" was 175/195 for front/rear. So does this mean there is sufficient tire clearance on the fronts to prevent rubbing with 195's? Or is there something that I am missing e.g. these smarts are Brabus versions with different front suspensions & wheel wells?

Yeah FastEddy - I think these look good but I can't tell. Can't really see the rims when you click on the pixs. The first pix is too large and blurry and the second one doesn't give it much of a full circle view of the rims. Can you post a few more? Also, when you post new items, would you please post the price plus shipping? Thanks, Regina
