Saw a clip of the filming for The DaVinci Code while flipping channels a few nights ago...

An all silver fortwo was in the clip they showed - the main characters were in it...

I only have a few chapters left ....... and then I will be moving on to Angels and Demons...... it's a pretty good read which should turn into a pretty good movie

Lol - now there's an assumption that makes sense but rarely seems to be true.

That may depend on one's "beliefs".....

If you believe it will be a good movie, it will?

Unfortunately, a great script-writer gets vetoed by an egotistical director... and bad acting can go along way too. So many "that was a great book"s turn into "well that sucked" movies.

But then you get the Lord of the Rings, which was fairly faithful to its followers (of which, I am not - but many friends are).

I *believe* that book is total nonsense, but I will see the DVD just because.

I've never read it and I don't even know what the premise is... and as we are talking about "beliefs" I start to wonder if it is about religeous matter (???)... All I was saying is that Hollywood tends to butcher good books by turning them into bad movies. I wasn't commenting on the content of the book at all. Just to be sure I don't offend.

On religious matters either side of the fence will offend some .... the book did cause a bit of a stir when it came out as it calls into question the very foundation of Christianity's origins and the bible, the so called "history is written by those who win" dogma, the movie should rekindle this debate .........

hence the "beliefs" reference would be missed by those who had not read the book.....

by the way LOTR rocked as far as movies go........

And that is what makes great FICTION. And that was what I took it as. It does provoke thought from both sides of the debate and thats good too!

Loved DaVinci Code & Angels and Demons.

Thought Digital Fortress was clearly written by someone who didn't understand computers or encryption. Ruined it for me.

We could start a thread on funny movie scenes. Not very smart related though. My fav was this space adventure of these super futuristic beings in their space ship and the console was a Comodore Vic 20. Wasn't even connected.

Definately off topic. :-)

In the book, they run from the police in the smart for a bit. I wonder if Hollywood will jazz that up a bit.

I am not denying the fact that it is a silver coupe in the movie ............ just that it was RED in the book

If the movie is a hit in the US, maybe this will cause enough publicity to entice MB to release it in the States.HUZZAH!!!!
