My Dad's in the States right now and just saw a trailer with about 10 black smarts on it, all with giant number "12"'s on them. What's up with that?-Iain

Dunno, but ROger Penske owns the number 12 Dodge team in NASCAR (David Stremme driving). Promotional PAG event, maybe?

Interesting about the black smarts with "12"s on them!It was a day for seeing smarts all over. Only got photos of one, however: It was parked near us when we came out of Loblaws at Masonville Place: There had been another red one when we parked with two women in it, but they didn't seem to want to chat, and I didn't get a photo. Earlier, we were also at the London smart centre where quite a few smarts besides us were visiting for one reason or another, in addition to those new ones that were for sale. Dave P said that sale have been brisk. He's going into Mercedes sales in October and a new smart specialist is being hired. On our way back home, just coming into the village, we saw a white one coming towards us; the male driver waved back when we waved.

Mike, West Island seems to finally be running through their massive early-spring order of fortwos. But they actually have at least four more Limited Threes that I can see. I'll try to get the numbers ASAP, but was in a rush today (and a bit of steam coming out of my ears after $296 for two rear tires. They actually had the balls to charge me a 0.4 hour for telling me the other day that they would not fix a flat on worn tires, but they also didn't have the 175s in stock).

On Saturday, I saw a 2005 cdi, white on black, at the garage sale at Macpherson House in Napanee, Ont. Gave the owner a "you've been spotted" card. Also saw what I thought was a Black on silver smart, not sure if it was 450 or 451, at about 8 PM today, heading away from Ottawa on highway 7.Smarts are everywhere now!

Hi all, I am working at compnay in Guelph at Schnieder National Couriers where another Smart owner works. We share a parking spot each day. So if you are out and aboout and see two in one spot it is generally Amy and I. Even when we go out and meet up we swing into the same spot LOL.

Moving this thread into the General Discussions forum so that it can serve all people from everywhere who have sighted smart cars (rather than have separate threads in each region)!

Vancouver, British Columbia

As Dean and I were on the way home with our new smartie tonight, we saw "SMRT S" (license plate) on 4th, parked at the side. I can't remember whose it was though. Any way, it was great to see a custom plated smartie. Hope we get ours soon.

Looks like you registered your cars on the same day, too!I used to work in Guelph as well, and mhawel (another member here) and I both have smarts, and shared a spot as well. Fun!-Iain

OK, Mike, one for the books:

As I picked up my car this afternoon, two of the jockeys were rolling a BRABUS across the showroom floor. I asked if it had been sold and they said, "Oh no. But if you want to see a cool car, we have a grey one with black mags downstairs! Number 6 of 10!"

I asked if I could go downstairs to see it and he said, yeah, of course. I told him I'd write down the serial number because "I'm one of those forum geeks." He said no problem, and as I was looking over the sticker on the dashboard, he said to just take it. :)

I'm a complete troglodyte who doesn't own a cell phone. If I go back this week I'll bring my digicam. ;)

Saw a Flying Tiger-prepped 450: the bright green coupe from the Pitt Meadows show-&-shine last year. I forget which member here owns it.

Anyway, it appeared on a driveway in front of a fairly large house in last week's episode of Psych on the USA network. The show is filmed in White Rock, BC, and other locations around the lower mainland (posing as Santa Barbara, CA).

Edit: typo.

My hubby and I decided to take the car and travel from Hamilton ON through Detroit around the Lake Erie tour to Buffalo and back.

We were hoping to see some other Smart cars along the way. We only saw one on the lasy day and that was in Buffalo NY. Mind you, we were stopped a lot along the way and asked a lot of questions...

Here is a picture of the car we saw.

Take care

Shirl

The only smart I've seen on this US trip aside from Dan and Irene's 40 cdi in Sequim WA is a metallic red 451 on Interstate 80 near Fairfield California. Hoping for more soon.....

smart spotting got better in San Francisco today. We saw at least ten there. I stopped by the dealer and got brochures and a couple of chrome "smart Center San Francisco" license late frames (for free). Sweet. Now we're in Santa Cruz and I will keep a weather eye open ;)
