Greetings Smart ones

I am the lucky owner of a Smart Passion 2006 Cdi (450 model). I bought my smart in may 2007 (brand new) and have put on roughly 23 000 K to date. Yes I know this ain't much, but after 20 yrs avg 55 000 km/yr it is a well deserved change of pace.

So far I have run into the standard issues that most of us have, as far as I can tell from this forum;
AC stops workin' after 1 yr.
Head beams fail after 1 yr.

More recently I have noticed that my front brakes produce a clunck noise when I put the brakes on. I inspected the brake pads/springs and observed nothing out of order there?!?!?
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCE THAT ALSO?
AND WHAT WAS THE DIAGNOSTIC?

Cheerio from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu!

Bienvenue!

The clunking brakes probably means that the brake pad frriction material has rusted off one or more of the pads and is moving around! Change the pads as soon as possible!
