I have a complete set of Continential Winter Tires on Rims w/ Hubcaps. Only used for 4 Months. 1 Rear Tire is Brand New (Nail got the better of the last one).For 2 years I parked my car in the Winter and left the Summer Tires on it. Winter tires were stored in a heated shed out of the Elements.145 Front 175 Rear. I traded my Smart car in so I have no need for them anymore. Asking $500.00. Victoria - SOLD

Unfortenely I'm can't afford to spend $160 to travel on the ferry on top of the repair cost. Need to get it done locally. Can any shop do this repair? Is it a part that I can order online?

It's been a few more weeks, it sqeeks when going over speed bumps, and it chirped continually driving down the highway over 90km and stopped when I got into town doing 50km. I'm going to go have it looked at after work at Rand. I have audio of both the chirping and squeeking over bumps.

I am not taking my car back to TPM anymore. Is this something any other shop can do? Is this an expensive repair?

I took it to Rand Automotive and the Electronic Connector to N11 - 3 was damaged. Pin 10 (fuel pump) was burned a bit. They replaced the wire for $69.00 and cleaned up the SAM N11-3 Pin 10 and it's working fine. Excellent service. Free Loaner (Diesel Smart) no charge for the diesel used. Car washed / vacuumed. Charged $350.00I would definetly go back to Rand for all my Smart Car Service in the future.

When I was at TPM last Monday Greg said it wasn't that. He did a $29 oil change and sent me off.

Ok, it's been two weeks, the car has started fine since the last time I posted. Drove home, car was fine. Was out of it for 30 min and now it turns over but can't catch I have an audio file of what it sounds like but I am not permitted to upload this type of file.

I'm not under warranty? How much would this cost to fix?I'm not understanding what you mean "under the service bulletin"?

I'll have to check when the last time I had my brakes done. I'll stop at Island Brake & Muffler and have them check them out on the way home.

I think my car is possessed!!! Last week I had just finished driving for over an hour. Stopped by a corner store, had the car turned off for less than 5 minutes.When I went to start it I got a Clicking sound when I turned the key. It clicked a bunch of times, then I stopped it, gave it a rest for a minute, tried it again and again it did the same thing.Trying not to freak out, contemplated calling a tow truck, I was on hold with TPM and after my 6th attempt it finally started. I never did get to talk to anybody at TPM so I drove it around the corner to my house, leaving it on the road thinking I might still need to have it towed.I went out 2 times and it started perfectly. Drove it to Fairfield Petro Can to have them check my battery first. Battery is perfect, connections good so they charged me $10 and told me they couldn't guarantee my problem wouldn't happen again. I think it is the starter but haven't had any issues starting it since.Any ideas??

This is just new, when I was driving up the Malahat the other day at speeds over 85km I all of a sudden heard a chirping sound come from the front end of my car. When I slowed down below 80 it went away. It happened again this morning driving to work going about 90km on the Hwy. Does any body have an idea what it could be.My car has 107,000km on it. Serviced regularly.

Let me know how it works out. I had my passenger latch fixed last summer and had to pay for it. It was sticking open and the wouldn't close.I paid for it and wasn't aware there was an issue with the latches.I'll talk the paperwork to TPM & see if Greg can do anything first.

So the last few days I've been video recording my start up's and my flickering lights.The past 4 days my car has started perfectly but after 10 minutes of driving the lights start dimming up and down in perfect sequence.My wife to my car to TPM and we had one of the mechanics watch the video's and right away he said "It's the Alternator!"I'm getting my Alternator replaced as I type this. No Charge as it covered under my Extended Warranty.YAAAA!
