Electrical problem?

Have been having issues with my daughter's 2008 passion. Thought it was the alternator but not too sure. The car starts fine but within a few seconds the radio goes on and off, all the lights on the dash come on and then the car starts to chug and shuts down. Won't start again for a few hours. Has no power at all. Any ideas?

If it still has the original battery, I would start there.

If the battery doesn't fix it check the SAM (fuse box), examine the big 12 volt lead from the battery ( disconnect battery first for safety).

Thanks for the quick response guys. The car has a new battery. I disconnected it, the wiring looks ok. It has power but won't start today. Seems random on when it will start. Here's a link to a video of me trying to start the car (turn up your volume).

Like I said check the big cable going into the SAM (power lead from battery) and the big fuse holders on the back side for looseness and signs of overheating/melting.

Disconnect the battery first for safety.
