I can certainly get the tires removed, but I would have to add the cost on to it.

They are free from blemishes. I hate to use the words “mint condition” so I’ll say “as good as you can expect” from a used product. I’m inclined to leave the tires on, because I’ll have to pay to have them removed, whereas you won’t incur any addition cost when you have new tires put on them.

I can ship easy enough. The scrap metal depot will give me about $30 each for their weight in aluminum. So, I’m thinking $50 each plus the cost of shipping.

Hi all, It's been a little while since I was on here. Anyways the 451 ED was totalled this last January but on the upside, it mean I have some parts available. 1. Set of 4 OEM while alloys (all 451s) 2. Pair of rear SKF wheel bearings - new in box (all 451s) 3. Weathertech floor liners + a non name cargo liner (all 451s) 4. OEM Level 1 J1772 charging station (ED only) 5. Cabin air filters (all 451s) 6. Original OEM floor mats (all 451s) Make me an offer . . . There may be a couple more items. I'll post them as I find them.

They say they can fix the dent without drilling or cutting. So I’m content with that.

Finally got the the repair quote. $3,500

My policy gives me a brand new car if it’s written off. It’s pretty good. Four of the plastic panels are damaged too, so we’re already into thousands for repair.

We’ll have to see. Because it’s a structural component I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

So a cabbie tried to pass my wife from behind in her own lane and ended up hitting her. Do you think they will write this off. The tridion cell is dented.

I order all my tires online and just order by size. I then take the rims and tires to a local tire shop. No questions asked. I generally find CT overpriced for tires, so I don’t shop there for tires. Tools on the other hand . . .

My concern with adding a zerk to these bearings is the risk of getting metal particles inside the bearing. It’s not like you can dissemble them for the mod. Theoretically, with a drill press, depth control, and a steady feed, you could curl a consistent chip that wouldn’t drop any shavings inside. Any burr would likely still clear the cage. You’d want to make sure you cover the tap in grease to catch the shavings or you a roll form tap. At any rate, it’s a professional job, not for the inexperienced machinist.
