Hey fellow smart enthusiasts!
We've just just two months until the 2010 Totem Rendezvous! This event will be held on Saturday, April 3rd beginning at 10:00 am or thereabouts Like the first time we did this in 2005, we will begin at Stanley Park in the huge parking lot by the totem poles... looking out at Coal Harbour just prior to Brockton Point. We will depart as a convoy and drive through Stanley Park, over a couple bridges, and then end at a Vancouver area park or beach... It's a bit too early to annouce any more details than this. We had just under 50 cars in 2005, and I would really like to see us hit 100. Tall order I know, but I am pressing for a a bit of help to make contact with our members via e-mail. I'm pretty sure we can get a good turn out with proper communication. I will be contacting everyone who has ever popped their head in the BC Mainland forum, and then some. More information to follow. Update as of March 21: We have changed the date to Saturday April 3rd Also, I am no longer supporting the new vehicle dealers due to their lobbying of the provincial governent to introduce a new 12% vehicle transfer tax on used vehicles in a private transaction. How do these processions stay together? Are there police escorts to allow them to run red lights and such?

No, they don't really stay together on the road, it's more about the socializing before and after than the driving. The only police escorts we've had was during the 2006 Cross Canada Relay, for example, when we had 106 cars down Victoria's Douglas Street.

I'm confused! April 3 or 4th.
There could be many people who check in at the last moment and miss the meeting completely. The title for the thread still mentions Sunday! I'll check in again so see if the change is unanimous closer to the date .... I vote for the sunniest day
