@  FlossyTheSmart : (30 October 2014 - 05:39 PM) You should look at the "Service Options" link at the top of the page though, for independent smart mechanics
@  FlossyTheSmart : (30 October 2014 - 05:39 PM) Could be the cold start issue that SkyDiverChris has been fighting with too. Temperature's about right
@  Mike T : (30 October 2014 - 05:38 PM) I am thinking it's the fuel pump connection on the SAM but a dealer should look at that first due to the Service Bulletin on the topic.
@  SINIVU : (30 October 2014 - 05:32 PM) Probably Kitchener dealer!

@  marchanna : (23 October 2014 - 06:26 PM) You should report that, it makes you an accessory after the fact. Oh crap! Now we're all accessories! Speaking of which, I should buy some accessories for my car.
@  Coast Steve : (23 October 2014 - 04:41 PM) He ment to say Killing time

@  Mike T : (22 October 2014 - 06:20 AM) John from Victoria, are you and Keith on the site these days? We have a dinner on November 6th coming up in Victoria! It would be cool to see you both there! See the thread in the Vancouver Island sub-forum.

@  marchanna : (22 October 2014 - 05:34 AM) Not really. I love that you caught that. I accidentally typed that, and then I was going to correct it, and then I thought, "hmm, I wonder if I leave it there, if anyone would catch that".

:welcome: Welcome ston3. My 2005cdi was decorated with eggs several times when I first brought it home but PAINT looks far worse!Last fall I completed the EGR mod where not only the bypass circuit installed but also the entire EGR mix valve mechanism is removed. No EGR problems now, and more power/torque with straight-through pipe where the restrictive mix chamber was.You will find what you need here, cousin!Bil :drive:

10x :) Actually I already found all missing clues to a success - very valuable was oscilograms posted by Marc there are some things to check before I will make "EGR emulator" - solenoid itself is in good condition and pot is not damaged hovewer ECU periodically loses it. I am waiting for some sunny and warm day to check ECu cabling - I was able to get ECU wiring diagram (a little bit inaccurate - it shows that wiper is on 4. but actually it is on 2. leg) So I got things to do - and I will report in "EGR valve" topic later on.. egr_smart.jpg
