Monthly post total, since site inception

A breakdown of weekly post totals, over the previous two years only:

The registrations still reflect a lot of spammers and accounts that get bounced....

We're still seeing up to 50 a month, and certainly that is higher than 2007/2008 which were peak in terms of actual posts.

And for those still using 'private messaging' (PM), here's how things look:

I'm going to put this topic up for feedback and discussion prior to making changes that will help streamline (read: "prune") the quantity of active forums.

One of the first changes I'd like to consider would be to archive all of the Regional Forums. They would remain available to view in read only format.

However, at the same time, I would create one new forum called "Club smart Car Events" which would be placed in the "Welcome" section. And in addition, I would move all topics/posts from the the Regional Forums in the previous year or so into that forum, so it would have the continuity of events/meet-ups that have been on-going, as in the case of Southern Ontario and the Prairies.

I have other changes for consideration, but I also need a chance to review the quantity and quality of the posts in various forums over the last couple of years before I detail those.

Please also chime in if you have other thoughts beyond the "Regional Forums" changes above.

Tried to log in as "marinersk" and it says no such user.

Number of banned members is 213 and seems rather high.  Wonder if the cold and dark winters is the cause of members misbehaving and getting banned?  Perhaps we could work out banning rate per month of the year?

All that said - we are in need of tidying up access/permissions and I am in the process of checking to see who is actually still functioning as a moderator. Moderator access has been removed from most former and now dormant member accounts... We hope to add a couple of moderators in the near future who can help keep the sight tidy.

One reason for not introducing the 60 minute time limit:

Assume there is a photo or two in a post and Photobucket or some other image hosting outfit pulls the plug making image unavailable.  The poster won't be able to edit image link due to the 60 minute time limit..

Many posts are not complete or all that informative, and beg further questions.

Requesting further info and/or pictures is normal.  It shouldn't require a PM.

Keep getting above warning. Opera says this site is harmful and has been reported for distributing malicious software. Opera strongly discourages visiting this site.

Anyone else experiencing same warning?

Tried a shot of about 700kB file size.

Both up loaders show error - file size too big to upload.

I've confirmed file size thru e-mailing.

Is there an issue with Apple iPads ??
