Hi everyone, as I was investigating an issue that was reported (thanks @stickman007!) , I just wanted to let you know the website software has been upgraded last night and the issue has been fixed.

You may have encountered trouble when uploading files or images prior to last night.

If you notice any further issues after this upgrade, please post here and I will take a look.

Welcome to the new home of Club smart Car!

We have updated the forum software so that it is on the latest version and has security features such as HTTPS:// which is now the industry standard. We hope you will also notice faster performance.

could not sign up using gmail

Tried signing up using two different Gmail accounts and no love. When all failed, I tried to contact administration at the bottom of the page and again no love. I got my neighbour to sign up using microsolft and it worked for him. I ended up using Outlook and that worked. Why no Gmail access?

I'm new here and noticed that when I went to sign up my computer told me that this site might compromise my info..? Is this something to be concerned about..? I was hesitant to sign up before because of this issue..

The clutch actuator Has been removed and greased and has been calibrated why is it failing It won’t go into drive Or reverse It’s automatic transmission And I won’t say neutral and Sometimes it goes into gear Will drive at Low RPM And then kick out of gear and show no Drive or neutral or reverse symbols on the dash

The server can not be found

For several months I have had great difficulty connecting to Clubsmartcar.

I keep getting a message stating the server can not be found.

Have same problem regardless which iPhone, pc or web browser I use.

Does anyone have a fix?

Malicious popups

A couple of minutes ago I had a malicious popup while here in IE and it said the computer had been locked and was asking for data along with loud beeps etc. Rebooted and it's OK. The webmaster might want to investigate.....

Question about site

Bought a new HP computer with Windows 10, and every time I go to this site I get this message.

I have had my password lifted off this site somehow (was unique to this site) and have rec’d ‘demand payment’ emails for 2+ years.

i think maybe everybody should know this.

Why is this club site suspected and recognized as a phishing website ??

Please forgive my lack of knowledge but... how does one remove the intercooler fan from the intercooler in order to get at the EGR valve housing on a 2005 Fortwo .8L cdi model? With my engine that fan motor is virtually sitting on the EGR valve restricting access to it. I don't see any screws or clips or bolts or anything holding it on.

Posted several items.

Updated my VIN in the 450 list.

Had a lovely side conversation.

Got several notices via E-Mail from the board.

Noticed the other day my posts were listed as being "Guest".

Tried to log in as "marinersk" and it says no such user.

Help?

Tuning Specific Section - Not just maps but actual tuning

Title pretty much says it all but there is a performance upgrades section which lightly touches on the actual tuning aspect of a map file. I was thinking there are a few of us here who would be looking to modify maps and share information. It would help greatly to organize those tuning specific questions to one area.

Topics might include things like:

Map definitions (Map locations, EGR, fueling, timing, etc)

Map Sharing - User owned of course, not commercially sold ones.

Tips and tricks for achieving a base tune

Howto's etc.

Software (Winols, EDC Suite, etc.)

Total number of members as of today appears to be 6711. Those that are banned are included in total number.

Number of banned members is 213 and seems rather high. Wonder if the cold and dark winters is the cause of members misbehaving and getting banned? Perhaps we could work out banning rate per month of the year?

60 minute time limit for content editing

Having thought about it, I have concluded this is a very unsmart move.

One reason for not introducing the 60 minute time limit:

Assume there is a photo or two in a post and Photobucket or some other image hosting outfit pulls the plug making image unavailable. The poster won't be able to edit image link due to the 60 minute time limit..

Many posts are not complete or all that informative, and beg further questions.

Requesting further info and/or pictures is normal. It shouldn't require a PM.

I use the Opera web browser.

Keep getting above warning. Opera says this site is harmful and has been reported for distributing malicious software. Opera strongly discourages visiting this site.

Can't upload photos.

Tried a shot of about 700kB file size.

Both up loaders show error - file size too big to upload.

I've confirmed file size thru e-mailing.

Is there an issue with Apple iPads ??

Not sure why they're doing it right smack in the middle of the day, but if all goes planned it should only be a two minute outage somewhere between 10:00am and 1:00pm EST on the 28th of this month (3 days from now). I just got the notice so I'm passing it on.

Clubsmartcar.com Driver Error

You may have seen a page popping up when you tried to access the site in the last few hours saying "Driver Error". As far as I am aware, everything is fixed now.

It seems the SQL table holding all the posts had "crashed" and needed to be repaired. Once repaired, everything seemed to be operational again.

if you see anything not working properly, or a post that seems corrupted, let me know either replying to this thread or via a PM. I don't anticipate anything being weird, but you never know.
