Useing smart_guys post as a guide I installed the inline coolant heater in a different location! I didn't like the idea of it being beside the fuel tank and only held in with strap ties.
Mine is held with the mounting bracket at the forward end of the subframe.
How is this style heater working for you? I read everywhere that this style would not work on a smart, I hope there wrong

A 725hp big block in a smart car only doing 10.25 is pretty lame, can't stand the wheels sticking out eveywhere.

That's "BARNEY_O" from SCoA; he added wheelie bars after that run as it trashed the front suspension. He also hand built custom turbo kits for three 451s (always good to have your own fully equipped machine shop.)
The full story here.
Nothing happened to the front suspension.

I don't have any detailed pics are you looking for a hitch or receiver?
Oh and welcome to Clubsmartcar Miki.
Here's a couple more pics of what she hauls

The red button actually runs the secondary's for the carb no NOS.

I had the same code today the yellow wire corroded off the IAT , I disassembled the connector and soldered a new wire , heat shrunk and sealed it all back up . This site is so easy just type my code in the search and somebody already tells you the problem and the fix
. Thanks guys.

If one is bad the glow plug light comes back on after start up and stays on for a minute or two, if two are bad it will through a code.
-
I bought 3 from the clubplug link above but only replaced the one that was bad due to them being extremely seized I was very lucky to get the bad one out in one piece after heating the engine up and alot of WD. Works good now and the glow plug light does not come back on after start up.

Are smart 450 and 451 pads the same, I see allot of listings for the new style but not the old style 450?
-
What pads did you go with?+1 on the brake pads. The OEM ones are horrible. I replaced mine with only 11,000kms on the car. Got rid of the black brake dust all over the rims and car.

I bought from these guys too, they work great. These are the best...http://www.autopartsbylou.com/lift-support...mp;x=13&y=5

I get 4.4 on my highway commute of around 75km per day round trip with Glenn's (smart142) remap ,thats travelling no slower than 110km/hr on a teribble hilly highway. Thanks again Glenn

8.8 sec 1/4 mile time wow, I found a few vids of that car with allot slower times would love to see a good vid of an 8 sec run .

Were missing the finished pic

There's no way I would even think about going with anyone else's remap but Glenn's and at almost half the price you can't go wrong. The only problem I have with it is I can't keep from speeding on my highway drives to and from work
No more downshifting on long highway grades, no more getting runs on hills ,I could write a book on how well it works. It idles along at 120 with no effort at all. No smoke screen on rapid acceleration , yah no joke it takes off very well. Anyway enough babbling I think you get my point.

Worst looking smart ever, it looks like all they accomplished is to make it heavier.
-
What circulating block heater are you using?
-
Did the cables come in just wondering how they looked , I will need a set in the spring.
-
Loaded up the sled today and it tows it with absolute ease with smart142's remap if anyone wants a good working smart this is what the need. I could fill a page with how well it works and only been using it for 2 days.
Trailler 200lbs, sled around 450 dry
Thanks again Uncle Glenn you made my car how it should have come from the factory.

He seems like a good guy thats where I bought my wheels from this summer.

[Hey don't make fun of my roof
. In the middle of the vid it looks like it's a fiberglass shell they made off the old smart body.
