Do they make a diesel version? ;>) That looks like a real nice one, not one of the cheapo knock offs! What a sight that will be, driving somewhere in a TINY smart and opening the hatch to reveal a TINY motorcycle. Good luck!
-
and unless you own a country club or a ranch with paved fields, they are useless. They are only allowed on road with a speed limit under 25MPH. Most local roads in the US have a 30 MPH limit.

I write down every single tank I have put in my truck since it was new. I am 47, male and I figure every tank on my motorcycle also although I do not record them. the truck runs about 16-29 USmpg and the bike is about 48-55 on road and 40+ off road. It is a dual purpose motorcycle. I have also done this with my work truck from time to time, 2002 Kenworth 524HP, 4.5-6 USmpg and most vehicles I have owned, that had a working speedo! I wish I could do it online but do not know of any place that has US mpg, in english. And I have no idea how to make a page that could do this. or I would.

smarts can fly! okay the engine can at least!

WOW! If they can do that flying, imagine what it would get in a motorcycle frame! PLEASE someone donate me their engine. -
Most are worried that any problem will be blamed on bio-diesel by the dealer not matter what the cause. I browse the GM duramax diesel and VW TDI forums and almost alll say the say thing. The "Stealership" will try to blame every problem on the customer even if not using bio, but they would rather breaker in the vehicle then start to experiment with bio or other mods.

I haven't seen this before but here is the formula. mpg = 235.2209 / DIN And the page where I found it. http://www.pege.org/fuel/convert.htm

Fuel Challenge: Around the world on 50 tanks in 70 days
100MPGUS replied to 100MPGUS's topic in enviro-mileage
I had read that but thought that is the break down of a barrel of the fuels combined. How much gasoline from one barrel and how much diesel from one barrel? I always though diesel was less refined and yielded more per barrel. -
that is a beautiful car. They did do a good job and we were talking about this at work and it is supped to go for about 35,000 US. If I had 35K laying around, I would buy one, and put it right into storage. in 20 years I would bring it to the barret-jackson auction and retire on the money i got. From this year. 1309 is the lot number. 1309 1970 PLYMOUTH HEMI 'CUDA 2 DOOR CONVERTIBLE $2,160,000.00

Fuel Challenge: Around the world on 50 tanks in 70 days
100MPGUS replied to 100MPGUS's topic in enviro-mileage
Glad you mentioned this. Do you know how many gallons of gasoline you get from a barrel? How many diesel? I have always wondered and never hear this mentioned anywhere. -
I don't think this would be covered by insurance... http://www.clubsmartcar.com/index.php?showtopic=12459?smartchocolate3_207.jpg

One thing I disagree with is using cruise control. That might be the case if you are driving on a very, VERY flat road, and your tired, but if you come a upon any incline the cruise will force the vehicle to keep the current speed, even if it mean full throttle acceleration and downshifting an automatic transmission. With that said, I used cruise 98% of the time on my X-country trip.

100MPGUS replied to 100MPGUS's topic in enviro-mileage
But they are missing the MPG and L/100 numbers. They are leaving that to the viewer to figure out?EDIT. OK I broke down and did the math. 50.02 USMPG which not bad for a gasoline engine. -
Around here they are only legal on roads with a 30mph speed limit. That makes it legal on side streets. Which makes them pretty much useless.

Your smart: pictured with another 'unusual' vehicle...
100MPGUS replied to smartzuuk's topic in General Discussions
lol someone stole my message. I was trying to say you could fit the smart in the bed of the CTX and get a picture of that! The bed is 10'x7'6" (or close to that) and you could make it a smart garage! lol -

I had planned on removing the engine and tranny in time and putting it in another body. Not another PU mind you, an Opel GT. Light, small, the little vette of it's time. It was just an idea that is not going to happen since I was out bid! I had to go to sleep and the auction ended at 2:45AM!!!

I tried to ignore this. I will try again.
