  1. Congrats on your new smart! maybe one day I will get to see your smart or any smart in person! Maybe get to drive on, I'll pay for the fuel!
  2. I had to laugh when I read if gas goes up to 9.20 a gallon, a hybid would makes sense. http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/23/Autos/hybr...dex.htm?cnn=yes
  3. Not having a smart, I am not sure how the transmisson works. It there a tourqe converter? It could be the converter locking up at highway speeds to lower engine rpm? In most cars a lockup converter lowers engine speed by about 200-400 rpm which sounds like a half-a-shift.
  4. Although it has no sound, for some reason I still hear the music from the benny hill show... I would like one of those cars. Put some pedals in it and go get coffee on sunday mornings!!
  5. is it behind the little black rock at the bottom of the picture?

  7. This is the type of mirror I was thinking of. Mount it horizontal, it is easy to adjust, and you have a distortion free view. Oops, here is the link to those mirrors if you want to order. 5.76 each
  8. I have heard this also and I can't wait to hear the result.
  9. Well, I dont have a smart, but if they ever get to the US it will be IMSVNGS (im saving gas, with a NY accent!)
  10. I am quoting myself... I am now recieving email notifictions again.
  11. Giant sunflower aliens!! They think the smart is the leader of the free world!!
  12. sorry folks, It's me in the truck trying to get into Canada to buy a smart!!
  13. if this were an actual post...
  14. I used to get email notifications but that stopped a few days ago, on the 14th.
  15. It seems that the writer took some libertys and added the cat comment himself!!! http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/09/14...y.catfuel.reut/
  16. I like idea #3!! Burn outs!!! WOOHOO!
  17. You need a permit for that. That is crazy. I have two 15' kayaks on the Saturn VUE and they pass the rear bumper by 2.5 feet. So, ever time that I went out with our Kaayaks i would have to get a permit. Well, most cops down here would not bother for the 6 inches over. But If You had 6 ft in the rear and front, expect to get pulled over every block or so!

  19. I am wondering if any of you have done anything to the car to improve mileage. Such as a reprogram, exhaust, filters, magnets around the fuel line.... Other then overinflating the tires close to 10 pounds over max (printed on tire 32PSI max I use 44PSI, with no problems at all) I have done nothing to my 2002 S-10 to achieve close to a record high MPG (for me) of 30MPG. The car was rated at 17-22 on the wiondow sticker and I now have 38K.
  20. That is too much over hang imho, but throw it up there anyway, just to get a picture. I NY you would need an oversize permit also! 2' or more past the vehicle dimensions.
  21. It is not the size of the engine that is the major problem, it is the stability of the motorcycle. A trailer hooked to a bike wants to throw it all over the road.
  22. ? Will they understand my New York accent? Or Lon Gisland to be specific?
