  1. With a dead cat swinging over his head? What a picture that would be!
  2. LOL it would look like a space ship if you were driving through times square!
  3. 7.7 litres of fuel per 100 km <--- They need to keep working on it to catch up with the smart. Thats only about 31 US MPG? Bah....
  4. Well, it is pretty amazing someone found a use for a dead animal, mixed with tires. How long did it take hime to find the right combo? But I say good work! I think the main lesson was that anything carbon based can be converted into fuel. Which we are running out of.
  5. Anyone on these forums live up there? I went on a camping trip about 15 years ago and wanted to head up there. I went to the end of the paved road in qubec and decided I wouldnt have enough time. I was wonder whatthe gasoline situation is up there, as I dont have a smart yet. 7. Your better off with a trailer. If you ise the type that holds the front wheel only and the rear wheel is resting on the ground, there is a tremendous amout of stress on the front wheel, and not justthe up and down mmotion of the road. It will twist side to side and in o time your front wheel will not be true. If you look for an aluminium trailer, speaking from no experiance what-so-ever, I think it should be able to handle it.
  8. The suspense builds! I am glad you are ok and able to function fairly normaly in your life. Head injuries are very tricky. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the post.
  9. Did you just keep driving around, following others, until one of them got you home? LOL, thanks guys. Actually it was weird I only saw a couple of other smarts the whole time I was out. I waved at them all, but nobody saw me! Here is my favorite picture so far: It is so shiny, it is almost invisible!!! Nice look smart!
  10. Since we are talking about MPG dreams, I have been looking for a SMALL car body, and an appropriate diesel engine to put in it. This car, http://www.rqriley.com/cent.html and the engine and drive train from a Smart might be the ticket. I am most likely years away from doing anything except research and talking about my dream. But I dont give up easy so, some day...
  11. In the US, Home heating oil has a higher sulfur content then highway use diesel. Trucks are required to meet emission standards now.
